A tour through our various savannah’s, swamps and creeks leading to Piking Saron, Matta, Bigi Poika & Gusterie. We also visit the indigenous villages. We drive on unpaved roads through the tropical rainforest where you can get acquainted with the secrets of nature. Nocturnal excursions in search of animals like crocodiles, frogs, snakes, etc. make it an exciting journey. Camping in the savanna, a must for the adventurer.

DAY PROGRAM

Day 1: In the morning we depart towards Cabenda Village (an Indian village) where we'll visit a pottery plantation. Through bush roads and overflowed creeks, we visit the old railway in the Savannah Berlijn. We drive through the OP savannah to Piking Saron on the river Saramacca . Here you can go by canoe or kayak to the holiday resort Gusterie  in  the  Coessewijne savannah. This breathtaking journey takes 1.5 hours and goes across the river and  through the savanna to the famous Blakawatra creek.  In the afternoon swimming, fishing or canoeing in the creek. In the evening social gathering,  while enjoying a  beautiful night  sky.

Day 2: After breakfast, we visit the indigenous village Bigi Poika where you can get acquainted  with the culture of the locals. After lunch and a little rest we return to camp Gusterie. The afternoon is free and can be spent as you wish. In the  evening campfire with BBQ. After BBQ it is possible to look for snakes, night birds, caiman etc.as well.

Day 3: After breakfast and a last  dive into the black water, we get ready for the return trip, which leads us through Piking Saron and Matta to Paramaribo.
